Rebekah’s Birthday Bash Accordion Envelope Book

Standard

Welcome to my little blog. I hope you are all enjoying all the fab projects on offer this weekend.

Here is my project for you,  it’s an accordion book made from small envelopes, it’s very simple to make and requires only small amounts of paper so it’s ideal for using up your scraps or 6×6 paper pads.

So here are the items you will need to make an accordion envelope book:

10x Envelopes (Any size will work) I used 10 x 6.8cm

10x Insert cards (I used ATC size cards)

Scraps or small sheets of patterened paper

Scraps of cardstock

Ribbons

Embellishments

Foam pads/adhesive

Hole punch/Cropodile

Tea bag /Inks

Small alphabet stickers

Small tag

Seed beads.

Step 1

Distress your envelopes and insert cards using ink or a wet tea bag.

Step 2

When they are dry attach DST to the inside flap of each envelope and attach in the pattern below continuing until you have attached all 10 envelopes.

Step 3

Fold up your envelopes along the creases to create an accordion book.

Step 4

Decorate your book with papers and a few embellishments.

I used a plain tag and decorated it with beads to add an extra little touch to the front cover of my book.

Decorate the insert cards with paper on one side and stamp a journalling block on the back .

Punch a hole in one of the longer sides of each insert and thread through a piece of ribbon to make removing the cards easier.

Step 5

Select a lovely piece of ribbon to tie around your book to hold it all together with a cute bow.

I hope you have fun with this tutorial, your next stop in the blog hop will be over to the talented Fabi Ormerod in Curitiba.

Last in line in the blog bash today is my old Mukka Traciedoodle Oakes, definately worth a visit !

Love Claire x
